Got a set on my RSV4 - been on there for 3 years now.....not a whiff of rust.... There must be PFMs with less cast iron than others, then. A mate used them and they were rusting before he had all the bolts in.

More stuff ready for prep.... Fan assembly stripped... Well... Chocolate bolts drilled out. Managed to keep the threads... Lovely. Scored an oem rad from lithuania in really good nick along with fan assembly so I've got a spare.

Love evotech stuff got the imbost rad on mine, and the tail tidy, the thing with evotech stuff is that it's powder coated, not like the r&g my mate had,his started to peel,I did tell him what to go for,but up to him... And they look after there customers,as there after sales, and returns, and help is flawless never had a problem. When I asked them about cutting a lug on my 08 zed rad cover, and when I needed a replacement lever,as I had to replace a lever on my 08 zed,as I drop the bike,I messaged them, they were concerned about my bike and dicounded it for me....

More stuff through the door...Ive got these in the RSV4 and the Hyper. If anyone is looking for a lithium battery id highly recommend these....the only reason ive bought this is the recovery company deliberately left the ignition on to flatten the battery which killed it. Ill be getting one for my old mans 400/4 as well. Just to add to this ive even let the battery go flat on a number of occassions (the gps tracker is battery backed) - ive bumped the bike and its started fine, popped it back on charge and its been fine...so, very resilient.

ok - bit of a change.....turns out with my discount at the local shop i can get replacement body parts in the original colour for literally the same price as a spray job....so, im gonna stay stock on the colour...partially due to, (sounds weird) but i get lots of you tube comment commenting on the fact that they like the colour....apart from the tank and rear sidepanels i can replace everything for about 400 quid.
The other reason is, that if i were to change the colour theres lots of other things id also have to change like the overflow piping in the engine, the samco hose kit, handlebars, levers, odd bits of alloy bling which would add to the price of the rebuild - currently running at about 3.5k...

That makes pure sence, and maybe a good choice in the long run as u have nothing to hide if the body work is original. And u don't go down the respray line,I agree bud... It's getting there,my sv 650 was a cat d when I got it,as a result of the previous owner trying to wheelie it,but I learnt a lot tinkering with it,and I love the Streetfighter look I have it.... It was my first big bike, and value was never in my mind,it was my bike,so I totally get u bud, with ure zed. It's nowt to do with value,it a bike thing, all the way, when this covid is behind us and better days come,we will have to meet up again,I totally enjoyed the last time,it was a total pleasure, and I enjoyed looking over a full moded standard zed, that put mine in its place. Love the brembo rear, the shock, the semco pipes, that I want!!! I came away with the only 2 things that day, what a nice onist guy that made shore I was on the right path home,as my built in GPS is a bit rubbish, and the other was what a bike. I love bikes that are not the normal,I can look at custom bikes all day..... The only reason I bought the z1000r is becouse I know squot about rear shocks and I now brembo was ok...so I didn't have to change them.....

Is the lithium battery much lighter than the original lead acid jobbie?
