Oh, forks and yokes will be coming out also along with the clocks....gonna get the yokes certakoted along with the clamps... The forks - not sure how to tackle those yet....no matter what the cartridges are getting ordered. They'll get sent to me then its ..... a. strip and fit them myself (but ill need to buy the special tool to take the old cartridges out (seems like a waste as ill only use it the once). The fork bottoms i need to get cerakoted as theyre probably the worst part of the bike.... b. Take them to the local suspension guy, get him to strip them....i take away the bottoms, get them coated then drop them and the cartridges back to get them rebuilt.... Thing is, ive had my ohlins NIX's apart and once the forks are converted then theyre very easy to strip....loathed to pay someone else...no matter what, 1200 quids worth of cartridges are going in, i want the outers to look good... I'd be inclined to go with option B. I think most places will bill you labour charges of no more than £150 and you won't need to buy the tools.

More to come off... Tomorrow night bearings out then wheels off to be coated...
Later in the week.... Forks and yokes out.... Then that's as far down as it goes...
I can to a certain extent take my time as the cartridges are a 5 week delivery time... So no matter what it's not going back on its wheels til then...!

It's mental to see it striped,as I wouldn't have a clue, but the way I see it from now on,with the money in hand,it not coming out of ure pocket. And I know that's no comphort to u,but at least it will give u an opportunity to make the bike much, much better. And even though it wasn't going anyware,it getting that opitunaty to be better, which I think u are more than capable of doing.... It should be a wicked zed when it's all done...

I've got it all under control... Just dropped the wheels off. Dropping the forks off later on.... Nitron tell me apparently there are some special tools needed for the initial installation (which ive not got) so the local bike shop is doing it. They're snowed under so 2 weeks to wait for them to be stripped... Then it's off to coating with the rest of the stuff....

Toys starting to turn up... Great stoppers those discs, but they do rust like fook at the merest sniff of moisture.
