Ooh question Lee (and anyone else) does anyone know the tooth count for the rear sprocket? Im not in front of my bike so i cant see but i think its 43 teeth...i need to order a new rear sprocket...but as ive got marchesini wheels its gotta be a renthal one...!

Clutch now fixed on the IQ - turned out to be the whole master cylinder assembly needed to be replaced. Next thing is our SMAX - dodgy ride height lighting sensor...then back to the IQ for the rear struts to be replaced...im getting there..!

Made it through the first car....got the other car to sort out today (or at least plug the laptop into it to see if it throws an error code) - clean the zed....as its gets used through the winter it needs a full clean every week (exhaust, front and rear mudguards, calipers etc etc) other wise it would get eaten alive by the salt (cerakote aside). Rear sprocket word so replaced that earlier this week along with some new heated grips.

Cool - really glad to help and get over and see you! - whats that rear brake like now...? when i left you i was on my way back to the M4 junction and the filth passed me on the other side of the road (on a bike) caught a puff of smoke from his exhaust so i guessed he was planning on having a word with me so i amber gambled 3 sets of lights back to the M4 junction then gunned it all the way home....remember what i said about running for the boarder!! Got to my mates house (the one with the monkey bike) - "a couple of bolts" turned out to be 5 bolts, 2 washers and a nut! - then i ended up re-assembling it all! as it was a monkey bike we had to pick it up by the front wheel....knock the frame with your hand to dislodge the bolts, then get it vertical on the front wheel and the bits fell out....one by one..! knackered by the end of that....

2 months go i went up to AP workshops with the RSV4 for a valve check....Griff started it and a split second later said " me the cam chain tensioners are shot, youll have to come back...." - skip forward to yesterday and i was back up there for the cam chain tensioners to be done, and while they were in there the valve check, gearbox check and then rebuild (had to ride it home)!! Took 2 of them 5 hours to do the whole job....i do alot of work but i couldnt have done that...not a chance, special aprilia tools along with some home made custom tools to boot... the timing was out on the rear bank, front valves were all in check and 3 out on the rear. They commented that the gearbox was the best condition one they'd seen ever for an old RSV4. Net result is a much quieter bike, much more responsive now, funny as when the bike was built back up and then they started it, it took a couple of seconds for the oil pressure to build up (sounded even noiser than before) then two really loud "clicks" and then it went quiet....lovely.

After 3 years of building...probably the slowest build ive ever done ever! i finally got my old mans bike started....! its alive again..!
Im 70% through the wiring.... (the munit is very cool) - if the app is running on the phone the bike literally talks to you - when open the garage door the indicators flash on the bike telling you its sensed the phone....
Engine is smooth as, carbs are leaking and the throttle is a bit sticky so it ran away a couple of times... but, it started and thats the main thing...on the button i might add as well!

K.... yer we go..... Right word of the day is dow!!! First of all big big shout out to comfysofa yet again u are a true friend and a legend to come help me and it's never a problem and it nice to talk shop as I'm so low at the moment but what u did today help me so much thank you....
Right I apologized to bike torque racing as it's nowt to do with the wheels the problem was when I replaced and upgraded the rear caliper I had to change the carrier so it would fit only forgotten to put the spacer from the original carrier fair play comphysofa notice it when loosening the rear wheel dug out the the original one put spacer in and job done without the need to remove the wheel.
As a result squeaking gone no play in the rear wheel all good and I enjoyed my bike and I was clear minded while riding my bike.... Good therapy... All down to a friend willing to help me thank you so much.. And I hope bike torque racing understand I had no problems just asking and covering all thing that I may need to know..... And they were and have been marvellous to deal with that's why I went to them for the wheels in the first place.... Thanks for the help and advice... Sorry...
