Yer good. If you read anything about drilling the airbox, dont bother, youll not get anything more out of it....i did before it went second time and it made no difference...all it did was give it a bit more growl...unless you want that of course...!!

Na.... I'm good,I don't like doing anything I can't come back from, cus I'm a clumsy fool,I'll end up braking something... Just making shore I've covered everything,I'll have to shout u when I'm over Fowler's,or shout me when ure in Wales,it would be nice to put a person to the text, thanks again for being so helpful... I want to see ure zed anyway, cus it looks like my kind of bike,I get fed up seeing Zed's that are all the standard, gets boring,if only people would think outside the box more often, love seeing what individuality can come up with. Don't get me wrong,I'm no costamiser, but I do try to be different,it helps to look at other people's bike to see what they have done differently to the next one that I see..... I'll let u know when I'm going to get my ECU flashed anyway... Got my replacement seat cowl, cleaned my bike yesterday, all done, got to greese the chain tomorrow, then I'll take a photo, pyramid plastics wants a photo,it's the least I can do,they have been very kind to me...

Well, technically....when it gets flashed its kinda bound to the exhaust system, air block off being in place and the air filter....all of those are matched to the ecu...as it were. Oh, the other thing...when its done you can remove the flapper valve motor without if throwing an error and, take an o2 block off bolt as when the mapping is done the o2 sensors are unplugged (tape up the open plug loom side)
If the o2 sensors are left in and active it fights the mapping....so they much stay off...both in my opinion brilliant as it makes the bike a little bit lighter and simplfies the wiring...ie - theres less of it! - its the same on my RSV4 and the Hypermotard.
The flapper valve takes up quite a bit of space under the seat - handy for tools etc etc - i keep visor cleaner in there.

I've seen on older Zed's,i.e 2014 there's a servo motor under the seat,I haven't got it under my seat when I changed the exhaust I thought I may need to remove it. As I did on my 2008 zed and fit a servo buddy, but there's not 1 on this bike.... Mmm!!! Is that what u mean,or is it something else, because I've got a plastic block under the seat with a pipe going to it,it's about 8inch long 3 inch square? At a guess,I'll take a photo of it tomorrow, don't know what it is.....

Ooh - yeah - id like to see that....so, it was brand new and there was no flapper valve motor?....could be cos it had a full system on it from stock...but, that would mean that it wouldnt be compliant from a euro x point of view....interesting...

When I bought the bike it only had 620miles on it,and it was totally standard,or as far as I know,it still had the lines on the inner grove of the tyres, but I don't know anything much about gen 4 Zed's,as I only had a gen 2 and the only reason I done the servo on that was because some told me about it,and the F1 light.... But as I was putting on those Austin racing cans,I looked on YouTube thinking there must be a servo on it and the video I watched had a servo under the seat, but when I looked under mine there was that plastic oblong block canister.... I don't know what it is,or what it does,it had a sponge stuck on it that was to stop it banging against the seat, but I put a better sponge on it that went the full length of it,not just an inch square rubbish, but it looked like it was ment to be there. And it's never bothered me but it takes up room.... Ha!!!

And no cat welded into the headers?... If not that might be some sort of replacement.... Gonna have a look at the parts layout...

I mentioned it to my mate, and we looked at the standard z1000r exhaust on eBay,and the exaust, was just 1 complete system and just the plug sencer. But that was the only connection to the bike, other than bolts...

Ha!!! looks like its something to do with the fuel evaperation system, a way of controling emmisions without a flapper so maybe no flapper valve at all or maybe your bike is an import .. www.kawasakioriginalparts.com/road-bikes.html?blockref=99912-0093.21&machineid=5848&year=2019&model=ZR1000HKF&country=XX

That's it.... Do u all want a laugh,I got pulled today by a copper,on a push bike,he came out of a one way street,as I was coming down the road. And because my bike is loud, wasn't speeding, but when I was behind him,he pointed me over to the the side of the curb, then when I asked what u pulling me for,his reply was u were tearing down the road... All based on what he heard....

Zed needs an MOT today...not due til the end of the month but you can get them early....switch of the rear plate and add the indicators back on - that should do it..!
