Hi, I know PerludeDragon and had seat on his Z1000 at the Easter Egg Run on Sunday. My god, it was so comfortable for a litre bike. I've been thinking of getting a bigger naked bike and this fitted me better than any of the other bikes I've looked at (I've got short legs).
I'm so taken with it that I'm going to see what's on offer around here at the weekend after seeing how practical it would be to insure today (about £300 TPFT, which is better than I thought it would be). Hoping for a test ride at one of the dealers, not sure if they'll give me one though. Any recommendations of dealers (Kwak or otherwise) that have any Z1000s in Scotland ? Closer to Glasgow would be best but willing to go a fair distance if I need to.
Also, any thoughts about moving from an XJ600n->Z1000 ? That's 60bhp->125bhp for just a 25kg(ish) weight difference. I've only had my DAS since November but covered 4000 miles on the 600 over winter and had best part of a year on the 125 before that.
Sorry if you read all this on my introduction post in the other section, just thought the questions might be better posted here.

I replied to the other one too
I think you'll manage fine with the transition upwards mate, as long as your sensible regarding it you shouldnt have any troubles. If you can handle your 600cc then you shouldnt find it too much more trouble to adapt to a 1000cc. Just be careful for a while until you learn how to ride it.
Hopefully i should be up and running to help you look for them at the weekend.

It will only go as fast as you make it. Go easy with the twist at first and enjoy! ;D
