yeah all done up ok, im gonna have a furtle around tonight and adjust the chain see if it makes a difference. failing that im stumped

checked everything last night and nothing was loose or not doing what it should. This am still doesnt want to go into first properly just a bouncy pedal aaarrrrgggghhhhh!

yes it's the same even if running or not, its like something is not quiet sliding home properly and gives you no confidence in pulling away. I'm well and truly stumped...

sounds like possibly a problem with the selector forks or the drum mate?,other than that then i dont really know?,my thou's gearbox was always really "clonkey" & a bit tight so now i run the bike on 15/50 weight oil instead of 10/40 & that cured it.

Cheers guys, still doing it now driving me mad dancing like fred astair at every set of lights !!!!! will try the oil change thang see if that helps, although not convinced but defo worth a squirt. Anybody else

Sometimes, when mine won't engage I let the clutch out slightly to spin the plates, normally ok then ??

Anybody else ? have you checked the linkage ?? is it properly adusted and free not siezed up or anything correct amount of play in clutch lever idle speed of engine making it hard to engauge to fast

The weirdness continues. Got on this am, ready for the "dance of delight" and lo and behold it's fixed itself :/ kwaks self mending great eh!! Gonna prod it again at the weekend and see if anything falls off

I had this similar trate on mine,and had problem selecting 1st gear,but as i had this on a previous zx6r,i just sprayed some wd40 on the gear linkage,and also put some grease inside the 2 rubber covers on the pivots on the gear selector,and its now gone away......worth a try,it maybe sticking/dried out!

I remember reading about something like this either on here or the American forum and it turned out to be a build up of crap behind the front sprocket cover.
