Would you effing believe it.Saturday spent hours round the cat and fiddle with a few friends having a great afternoon chewing up the twisties, saw the aftermath of a few(but up and about unfortunate wreckes) and just before leaving for work today,(monday). Crunch... my lovely z750 falls off the side stand and cracks the tail peice. ARRRRRGH.Not only that but bent the clutch lever and scuffed the engine casing, the rear peg bracket and feck knows what else. All because some inconsiderate t**t has blocked my gates and I had to park my bike at the side of my drive which slopes a tiny bit more....GUTTED. I wouldn't mind but I just tightend up the bolt on the side stand to avoid this kind of thing from happening. Just glad I had the r&g crash bungs on or the rad would have been goosed, and I would have been going nowhere.

When I got home from work Monday the crack on the tail piece had grown a bit because some of the plastic push rivets had fallen out, so I drilled a hole in the end of the crack, took off the seat cowl and found a connection bracket had also broken off. I bought some araldite epoxy to glue it back on and sort the crack. It seems to have worked OK, its pretty solid, just waiting for some new rivets from ebay to arrive and I will be good to go. The other bits and pieces can wait till I can afford them but to be honest I think it just adds a little character to the bike.

Rivets ain't perfect but do the job. So well in fact I forgot all about it. Just needs a touch up on the scratches. Oh and a new engine case.
