I notice that when i have to stop quickly on my zed, say in 4th gear or higher, due to something unforeseen that it will not go back down into first
E.g a a dog runs out in front of me and i'm in 5th gear but brake quickly and stop, still in high gear
Theres a car behind me which stops too
I'm sitting there trying to get her clicked back down into first or even fucking second and there's no mission, i have to roll her back and forward to get her to drop a few gears, surely this ain't right? Never experienced this on any other bike
Anyone else notice this or have i two right feet???
(The bike is new)

If it wont change down with the engine running, let the clutch out just till it starts to bite pull it in and it should knock down one or more, then repeat till in first(works with mine).
Or as an instructor showed me.Put light downward pressure on the gear selector and let the clutch out till it starts to bite (clunk) it should go down a gear.
I found my gearbox tight when it was new but it does loosen up

I guess once you get used to it its no big deal but after all these years riding it gets on my tits, you look like a plonker sitting there clunking yer gears
