I currently use BT014 front and back they are a great tyre and after a day on track at Mallory park they worked great, but I want to try something different, was thinking about Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. I'm also look for something thats going to work over winter. anybody got any suggestions ;D

They arent exactly a winter hack sort of tyre. What about the michelin pilot roads? they are a harder compound tyre and more designed for wet weather. Im running on avon vipers for the moment, they were a great tyre but only lasted me about 1000 mies to the wear limit which has shocked me. Pirelli Diablo's were getting me 3000-3500 miles...now those are tyres that I would recommend. Im a Z1000 rider but theres not too much difference

I've got regular Diablos on mine and they've been very good.
A good mate of mine has had diablos for ages on his bikes and has recently tried the Pilot Road 2. He says that they're better than the diablos and after following him round Cadwell last week I can believe him.
I think I'll get some of those next.

I have 2CT's on my z750 and would highly recommend them as a summer tyre. They are awsome when warmed up but they do take a while in the rain to get up to temperature. These might be too sporty for winter use and the pilot road 2 looks a better option for winter. I might try these next but michelins are expensive.

Yeah the michelins are expensive I had the pilot road 2 on my last bike but didnt really get to try them properly (see my Hi thread in introductions). I've had a look at the Conti Road Attacks and I think I'm going to give them a try.

If the conti roads are good enough for the 1000 then they should be moor than enough for the 750.Even on a spirited ride the limits of the suspension are reached well before the limits of the 2CT's (they are a sports tyre after all).

I have done the full 636 suspension mods, so to be fair, its MY limits that are reached first, way before that of the tyres or suspenders.

This is the case for me and the conti's. Although my tyres haven't quite gone through the trials that spoon's have ;D, it's my (unfettled) suspension that makes me back-off during rides. My contis were put on at 16,135 back in April; now on 18,708 with approx 4mm left. More than happy with this so far - sometimes I ride like a girl but sometimes I don't. So the tyres perform every time imho. No cause for concern so far with tyres; as I said, it's the marshmellow suspension on cornering that makes me scream ;D

Has anyone used the BT 021 rear tyre on a z1000 before? my mate has one on his blackbird and says its a good combo tyre if you do a lot of commuting, which I do. I'll need a new tyre next year and I'm unsure what to buy really.
