hi i have just had the moto up on the pit stand and set it away now under power the chain slaps about but as soon as i pull the clutch in it roles sort of smoothly any one any idea Y?

That's normal - its because there is no load on the back wheel. I wouldn't do it too much because the gearbox doesn't like it and may attack your wallet.
