1200 miles now and i'm still smitten with my flying tango can. Everything is perfect, well almost.
One annoying thing is the jerky throttle response at about 2500/3000 rpm, most obvious at low speeds.
On my 'Cat I got into the habit of riding through 30 zones in as high a gear as possible to cut down on the noise from my race can but now that habit puts me right in the middle of a flat spot. Let off the throttle and the engine stops, roll on and it leaps forward, very annoying when my wife on pillion keeps headbutting me.
To get over this i've done the obvious thing and started riding at a lower gear but it's frustrating that modern technology and fuel injection is less effective at smooth fuelling than a set of carbs.

Mine doesn't do that.

I dont recall mine being jerky before the pipes and PC3, how ever looking at the dyno charts I have there is abit of a dip, since I had the pc3 fittted, with custom map made, the power torque curves are MUCH smoother than any other maps I have seen, and I can feel the difference.
I would take it to your local dyno and let them play for a bit, does it have a PC3 or not? Even with stock pipes a PC3 can be of great benefit.

No PC3 (yet). It's probably me just over-reacting a bit. The 'Cat was renowned for having great carburation and mine had been re-jetted to suit the can so perhaps i've just been spoilt. Two of the other instructors have Kwaks, an ER6-n & a ZX6R and they both have similar flatspots. As I said before, life was so much easier back in the day.

Did a bit of experimenting today and mine fuels perfectly everywhere in the rev range. Any road tests I've seen have said the fuelling was spot on. I've a Carbon Can Co pipe on with no other changes at all. It didn't do it with the standard can either.
