Hello all, A newbie here hoping you can help with a quick question. I want to order some of these.... www.oberon-performance.co.uk/acatalog/Bar_End_Mirrors.html...but am not sure of the size of the standard Z750 bar. Is it 22mm? That would be handy as that is the size of the Renthals I want ot buy at a later date. Cheers for any help, Bacon.

not sure if the Z750 size, but 22mm is usually the internal diameter of the bars, just take off your originals and measure. how ever if they are the same as th Z1000 the bars arnt open ended, you would have to chop off the threaded plug or bolt straight on. Renthals are usually ally rather than steel and if memory serves have internal diameter of 12mm.
I would warn you though, the mirrors are tiny and flat glass you cant see much at all in them though do look v cool.
Also if you current bar ends are like the Z1000 you will need a blow torch and an impact driver to get them off, see my post on bar end removal in technical.

Cheers for the advice. I had read you post just after writing this post. These things are never as easy as they originally appear. I was hoping the the bar end mirrors offered a better view, or at least not a view of my elbows..... I'm guessing that if you want to reuse the original grips with a new Renthal bar you need to get the bar ends off. If this is the case I may have to think whether to bother or not... Cheers for the advice....

its not quite blowtorch and hammer difficult The bar ends are just screwed on with loctite. I think some people manage easily (fortunately i was one) some people find it stuck hard.

Looking to get some bar ends myself. Busters have some in Black or alloy and also include bar end weights so no need to worry about fitting around originals. Not cheap though at £25 each. Let me know how you get on as thinking of making of making a purchase myself.

They look much easier to fit. I take it that they fitted to the standard Z750 bars without a problem.

I've got them on a Z1000 - they fit to the bars directly (i.e. not to the weights) and need about 10-12mm of bare bar to attach to.

Just fitted a set of Motrax end mirrors on my new ultra-low Renthals. Very simple to do. I used Renthal bar ends and fitted the mirror clamps on the main bar just in from the ends. This meant that my grips and everything were fitted 10mm or so further along. The whole job from starting with stock bars to what you see below took about 45 mins. I was worried about getting the original bar ends off after reading various horror stories but a couple of swift taps with an impact driver then a screw bit in a ratchet driver and off they came ;D The mirrors themselves are excellent and well worth the £30. Visiblity behind is 100% improved and vibration is almost non-existent, though this may be down to the silicon i've used to stick the mirrors into their housings just in case
