Okay, the rozzers over here are stroppy gits who pick on us bikers, so bearing that in mind, can anyone point me to a decent zorst for my Z750 that doesn't mean i have to sell a kidney, gives me a little more power, and won't get me arse raped my a copper!?
Cheers!

Mines a Carbon Can Co titanium pipe. It's much shorter than the original which weighed as much as a small child. It has quite a large bore and is BS stamped. I don't know if you need that in Jersey. Very nice note without being overly loud.

Mines a cut down version of the std can, well it's actually got 9 inches missing to be precise, and IMHO it sounds far better than any race can does on the Zed.

i've just purchased a second hand Carbon Can Co pipe off a mate of mine i work with. It's the oval carbon can, was about £260 new (extra coz it's oval) and i'm buying it off him for £120, and he's only had about 6 month's use out of it. BS marked too. just waiting for the link pipe to come down from the CCC and we're good to go, just in time for the trip to Donington for the GP!

Is it hard/easy/somewhere inbetween and are there any specialist tools required? Have you got any pictures to show us the end result?

It's easy to do,just need to take an angle grinder to the can, then just re-rivet the end cap back on really...................that's about it. The only thing is the can isn't that colour anymore it's kind of gone a bronzey / brown colour 'cos of the heat, does sound f'kin awesome even if i do say so myself! lol

I got my Carbon Can Co exhaust on. Sounds AWESOME, and the throttle's more responsive now too. Got 151mph on the motorway when I was up in Donington too I tell you what though, the stock zorst weighs a SHIT LOAD more than the CCC one. It's ridiculous how heavy it is - such a weight saving by replacing the old can! -Nursey

On my Z1000, I saved at least 10Kg by replacing the stock exhaists with carbon Scorpions... I could not believe the weight of the standard exhausts when I heaved them off the bike...
Does the standard 750 can have a catalytic converter in it?? Is that why it's so much heavier than the CCC one??

No experience mate, but 120 plus VAT totals to 141 (you probably already know that...)... and if you're not sure about buying from them you can get a stainless can from www.carboncan.co.uk (few people have these I think) for 155, or an oval stainless from www.mtcexhausts.co.uk (saw pictures of twin outlet ones on a Z1000) for 150.... (round ones are 130...)

Wallace how did you go about cutting your pipe down? Iv'e just picked one up from fleabay and am about to crack out the grinder but having a quick look at the end cap its has an inner baffle in the centre...... did you just chop straight through? Is the cat in the pipe or the link pipe? i am considering cutting the bracket off and moving it then cutting it down from the other end thus keeping all the legal stamps (officer) but i probably won't any tips gratefully received cheers ;D

Sorry for such a delayed reply mate, but it looks as though you didn't need any advice anyway.

No problem mate, turned out to be quiet easy really, i went a bit mad and decided to cut out the blanking plate with the hole at the bottom, then cut the tail pipe plate off of the remains of the pipe and weld that in its place. I then just rivetted the end cap back on and bolted it on the bike. Came to work this morning and what a sound almost as good as the ARTs i had on my firestorm, i'll post a piccy later when it's stopped raining

not sure exactly but i had some ali ones left over from another little project, so i used them they were almost identical size to the original ones, i think 5mm, just had to use an air riveter to put em in cos they are strong buggers.
