I've almost run my new z750 in and have noticed a pronounced amount of engine vibration at anything over 6000rpm, seems to go straight up through the seat, (nice for the ladies ;D), I know there are issues with vibration through the bars but I find this more irritating, is this normal and does it get better as the miles pile up, havnt thrashed it during the run in process or taken it anywhere near the redline, just built up the revs gradually once the engine is up to full operating temperature, otherwise the bikes runs beautifully!

I do find it very vibey in the lower gears, even now with 1100 on the clock (which I managed in three weeks, so it can't be that bad ).

i dont seem to have vibration issues with the handlebars, even at high rpm, i took the girlfreind out the other day and she mentioned the vibration on the back seat, but it doesnt really bother me to much to be honest.. allthough if anyone knows a way to calm it down im up for listening

Oooh my ARSE!!!!
I went out on my Z750 for the first time this year, and after 80 miles I was crippled! I didn't remember quite how bad the vibration through the seat was! I played swapsies with John for the last 10 miles and couldn't believe how bad mine was compared to John's CBR6. I'm starting to think that I'd forgotten that bikes shouldn't be that uncomfortable...!

Apart from the Rust (mentioned elsewhere) a few false neutrals and the crap vibrating mirrors, I love my Bike, it looks the Dogs goes like the Dogs and pulls Dogs, only joking about the last bit.lol..
After my Bandit this Beast really moves once up at about 5000 revs this thing flies, it really feels light compared with the Bandit and is a much nicer looking Beast.
To anyone that wants a cheap, good looking power house, look no further...

i agree there mark!
i've noticed a bit of vibes at high revs in the bars (but then we have a 40mph national speed limit here so don't get it too much...!!). not noticed anything in the seat though!

I think the next step for me is to try adjusting the preload on the shock. I am, after all, a 'big bird on a bike' and it might be time to play with the settings a bit.

I got quite bad vibes in the bars at first but they have died down considerably -6500 miles on it now. I've backed the preload right off and it did bugger all. R1boy has just put a 636 shock on his and says it's better.
