So, rode it to work this morning - gear shift is a bit high but just adjusted that out when i got to work (always keep tools on me). The rear brake fitment wasnt great...the post that they supplied didnt work with the HEL slave so i had to put a bolt in there...that being said right now the rear brake is non existant but, ive not had the chance to do any adjustment - plus i might mess around with another way of connecting the master cylinder. Another thing (not great) is this company wont sell you any spares so..if you damage one side of the rearsets then you have to buy a new set...im presuming the more premium makes will sell spares individually.... On the plus side the gear change is beautiful...feels like a different gearbox - i can only think where the linkage is new so thats a big plus. Also late last night i managed to find some odd linkage spares in my nuts and bolts box so ive got the QS fitted but will buy a new shift bar as mine is a bit of a mish mash of bars and nuts..!

Looks sweet mind,I can see what u ment, bit of a distance between the rearset and the master cylinder,I think I done the same put a bolt through the bottom of it....
But all said and done looks miles better than the stock ones, like them....

Yeah - the master cylinder bar doesnt seem to go square into the master cylinder (when you push the brake) - gonna have another look at it tonight....
Just to give myself more to do i just won a RSV4 factory swingarm from a 2018 model (2" longer to the bike is more stable at high speed and in corners) so thats on its way to me as well.! its in pretty poor shape not dented or anything but, a very scrappy finish so ill be getting that cerakoted black...just have to decide on matt or gloss....at the moment im thinking matt.....

Just had an hour in the garage - good result on the rear brake....as the stock master cylinder is an m8 bolt and the Hel is an m6 the master cylinder was sitting a bit crooked so the plunger wasnt engaging correctly so thats sorted now. Managed to strengthen up the bolt also with a sprinkle of m6 nuts on there....
Made some gear change shift rod changes with the shonky setup thats on there til the new shift rod turns up....find out tomorrow on the way to work how that goes...
Rode to work this morning and the gear change is nice again (but its set a bit high) so ill wait for the new shift rod to turn up....
So to summarize on these rearsets...
1. Youll need to change from a rear brake (Spring based) switch to a hydraulic pressure version as the mechanism that comes with it is total pants....that being said....the hydraulic pressure option is alot tidier. 2. if your using an aftermarket rear master (Im using a HEL) then take special care to get it lined up vertically.....i rarely use the back brake and totally forgot this morning but initial tests last night once id straightened it up were good. 3. If youre using a QS - youll absolutely need a new shift bar but as different QS's are different lengths youll have to find that out once youve fitted them...
The quality of the rearsets is good...if youre gonna use your existing master cylinder then youll be fine from a physical braking point of view but the spring mechanism is dogshit....get a hydraulic switch on order....as above on the gear change side...factor in a shift bar if youre running a QS.

I thought the rear master cylinder didn't look true and I thought it looked kinked, but wasn't exactly shore of it was the pic. But I'm glad u noticed it and managed to sort it out I love my set up since changing to the hel hydrolic and the caliper changed is much better, and changing the rear hoes topped it all off.... Glad you sorted and u got a rearst on there looks well sweet now...

Good day in the garage today....
Rearset fitment now complete....so all good...got a 10% discount from the supplier as well which was nice as the rear brake mechanism was absolute pants...didnt matter as im now on a hydraulic switch - much better and doesnt need any adjustment.
Pictures to follow....so this stage of the service is complete....now waiting for a break in the weather to get the sump, engine cases and exhaust recoated....
While thats all off ill be replacing the clutch plates, plugs and an oil change...

I've got a rear hydraulic switch that I ordered by mistake that fits a brembo apparently so u can have it if u want it as I've no use for it......

So earlier than expected the gear linkage turned up....First and foremost....the new part...there is no play what so ever so if yours has play then I strongly suggest replacing it....something I never even thought to do....I'll be checking my hyper and rsv4 as well..!!!
So this weekend I'll be taking the winter tyres off and putting the supercorsas back on for summer use...I assuming I have time on Sunday but that's the plan....ive got a brand new set of avons as well so might use those....dunno yet I'll go with what I feel on the day!!
