As above. Booked up for the Dyno at the end of the month so we'll find out once and for all if the airbox/air intake mod is good.... tyres on the zed are just about shot now. I had some OEM SuperCorsas on there from a Panigale and ive gotta say they werent great....a few weeks back i was going round a roundabout (as you do) i was quite far over (but not touching the pegs) and the front tucked and slid but i managed to recover it. As theyre oems theyre not normally up to the spec of a set of off the shelf supercorsas....watched this vid... Which explains a lot i think! So, In my tyre testing regime ive bought a set of Conti Sport Attack 2's. Never tried Conit's before so ill report back. Ive got a tiny bit left on the supercorsa's (im not that rich so ill be running them til i hit the limiters)!! Then - end of the of the month we're back on the dyno.! Also got a nofitier from the z1000.com forum and ordered one of these - a while for it to turn up as they were out of stock of the black ones. japan.webike.net/products/24197481.htmlIve got one of this type of thing for my RSV4 and it does make a difference but didnt know they existed for the zed....so thought id be the ginuea pig... So, theyre you go - few bits and pieces.....which will be lavished with pics and vids as it all comes together..! |

Got the Rossi Diabko 3 on the zh2 and not bad at all ..I ain't no peg scraper but for the power n weight of bike I reckon I gonna get 3000 miles and no moments yet ..whatdoes the gear holder do?

great video comfy. did a great job of explaining torque vs hp and how the rider perceives them both. surprised you went with the continental tires. not that it is a bad thing. all the customers that reviewed on revzilla luved them. just didn’t really think of continental as a preferred sport tire. thought you have gone with the pirelli super corsas again since you enjoyed them so much. nonetheless, cheers! Well, as ive said before ive given up reading tyre reviews.....ive bought tyres based on reviews and theyve never lived up to the reivews opinions so now, i buy a random set of tyres and see for myself....after this ill be trying either a dunlop or Bridgestone...i know supercorsas's (got them on the RSV4) so theyre a known quantity but a. i cant afford to put them on the zed as its my daily driver and b. my new job is smack bang in the middle of town so no carparking but, i can squirrel my bike away in the underground car park - only a couple of miles away from my house. And finally c. the supercorsa is a dry weather tyre really so i need an all rounder of sorts.... |

Sorry Zee - forgot to reply back....I wouldnt really put any stock in what i say....although me....Supercorsa at the top beyond that i cant really give you a definitive answer as ive not tried everything yet!!
The only thing i can say is not anything Metzeler....every metzeler ive ever had has been shit...

Not finished yet but up on power and torque...
All done Chris copied the maps over to my memory stick but just tried it and theyve not copied over to my stick....i didnt look closely at them but from recollection i got from 145 up to 150.something. Just messaged him to see if he can email them over to me.
So - to summarize....the airbox mod is a good worthwhile cheap mod, coupled with going on the dyno yeilds some good results and real world: when i originally did the mod i thought, "wow - thats much snappier" and now the fueling is corrected - got the same feeling again....top stuff.
