in the US we only were offered the standard Z. no Ohlins, Brembo’s or akrapovik exhaust. i see some guys had this choice in a few other countries. did the “R” or performance model come this way from the factory with the akrapovik exhaust or was this a dealer installed option along with a dyno tune? I own the 2017 z1000r and to be onist,I got into it withe the dealer when I went to look at it,as he was trying to sell what he called the performance edition. And I thought he was talking through his arse, and basically said that putting to akras on it wasn't what I classed as a performance upgrade, the hole exhaust from front to back is a performance upgrade. But he wasn't having it,to be onist if u can't be arsed to change suspension and brembo calipers then buy the zed r edition. But from some of the standard zeds I've seen people mod, them why buy the zed r edition,as the standered zed can be just as good or in some cases much better... Comphysofa zed is a good example f this work, there's no dynoing done to the bike off the shop floor which ever one u choose,as far as I know, and the performance edition just isn't worth the money,it's a grand more. And for less than that u can buy a complete front to back full upgrade from arrow for £700ish so why would anyone in there right mind buy the so called performance upgrade... Dealers talk a lot of shit,to shift a bike, don't listen,do ure homework,it pays......
