I fitted Oxford heated grips yesterday,a relatively fuss free installation, though I needed to remove tank and plastics to get the wiring as neat as possible. I'm going to make a bracket to hold the controller,as the one supplied is a bit of a 'do rightly' effort and I'm not happy with the way it looks. A bit gash. The grips feel a tiny bit thicker than the stock items, but not enough to worry me,in fact I prefer them. Took it for a quick lap today, bloody cold, but loads of heat at 100%,grips feel fine for control/comfort etc.

I was going to buy the hugger too,but on the stock item there is a recess just under the rear of the shock, all the aftermarket huggers have a cut out section there. It's directly over the rear tyre,so all the road kack will be thrown up everywhere.
I have no idea why they made them like that,or if you can get one exactly the same as the original.

Bought my rear hugger from carbon kings in Swindon, and u can use your carbon chain guard if u wanted one....,I've got 1 and it fits nice, another nice fit and works with heated grips are grip puppy's,all u have to do is cut them to size, and spray with hair lacker and done... I love them, there Wicked, and cut vibration down...

Had Oxford grips on mine for years. Theyre pretty knackered now but they still work. I cut all the wiring down on mine (there was way too much) to tidy up behind the light.

Oxford grips on mine too, worked great, would advise not useing Grip Puppies over the top of them mind as cuts heat by about 25 percent, apart from that they lasted till i sold the Kawa.. miss them heated grips..

I've never had heated grips, but I love my grip puppies, but if u have had the both trebor, then ure more qualified than me about it,and if u loose 25% like u said then maybe u need to choose one or the other.... I was led to believe u can use them with,it's handy to know that, that's not the case.... Well done trebor, interesting and very helpful post....
