I have very recently found myself with a 2009 gen 2 zed thou to play on the tracks with... Not really considered owning one at all over all these years, until this one fell in my lap, I've had one outing on it at Snetterton, and it was a bit of a barge to muscle round to be honest, so looking at improving the handling a bit if i can. I read somewhere that a front end upgrade for these are zx636 forks and a zx10 rear shock, is that correct ? and if so, are they a direct replacement, as in bolt straight in ? Any advice more than welcome

i don't know about the upgrades you talk about but i swapped out the rear for a hyperpro & put heavier springs in the front & it transformed the handling, mines gen 1 tho, don't know how different they are, ebay for hyperpro about £400- £450 delivered & made for your wieght, straight replacement, i think if you went ZX10 you would be better with the swingarm also no chuffing around then but could be expensive

Yep 636 forks and yokes i believe. As for rear shock ive got a nitron r3 in my gen4. Which is brilliant.

Quick question,I need advice.... I want an ohlins steering damper, just looking at the moment, can I buy,a second hand one of a zx10,or another Kawasaki to fit my z1000 2017. I don't know enough on these, but second hand is miles cheeper, just need to buy a bracket to fit it....
