As above....yeah, we all go out for the day etc etc....
Went to watch a round of BSB - i live in Bristol and Oulton Park in near Chester so, quite a ride but, it was my mates Brithday present from his wife so a great excuse for a road trip....
Racing was great, especially the last but one race (second superbike race). And the point for my post...
As soon as we got out of the circuit it hammered down. I didnt have any waterproofs with me (weather forecast had no mention of rain for the day) and a pair of thin summer gloves. Awesome. So, we had a 4 hour ride home down the m6 then the m5, m4 and then the m32. I dont think ive ever ridden in that heavy rain for that amount of time ever. The zed didnt miss a beat. With the sheer amount of rain, spray from the road ( i was so wet i think i may as well have jumped in a swimming pool) i was half expecting to loose a cylinder or 2 on the engine, or something to stop working due to the sheer amount of water but no, it started on the button, pulled like a train and got me home in one piece. Its currently sitting at home in the garage totally caked in everything from a wet 4 hour ride home so itll be getting a good clean tonight. Least i can do for the stirling service.
