The sugomi is being traded in next week. I love the looks.... Hate the harsh ride. After 1850 miles I just can't take it anymore I have a minor Lower back issue and the Z is such a harsh ride that it has to go. I have a 2017 z1000sx on order. Took one out for 5 hrs over two test rides and really enjoyed the riding position and comfort was vastly improved.
Few bits for sale in the for sale section have a look.
See ya

Ta, I wasn't gonna spend ££££ on a shock and I have two euro trips this year so the SX makes more sense..... For now! I'll see what the future of the z1000 is and you never know I may be back!

Pretty well everything that applies to Z applies to the sx to a certain extent...

The rear shock on the z1000 is much more comfortable with more adjustment. 2 1/2 hrs in the saddle no issues if that was on my sugomi my bones would have shattered! I could of kept both but justify that money to myself it didn't make sense! Will be sad to see the Z go but it's time to move on...... Spots tourer for me is a bit of a risk as I've always had Supersport or super naked!......... RISKY!

Y'know we had this conversation last night mid ride over our comms....went over my mates house last night to help him with a niggling problem caused by us indirectly with his RC8r - turned out to be a broken wire in the end so when i got over there it was all back together (i was on my rsv4) so we had a free evening for a test ride and went tearing through wilshire and somerset....anyway mid ride we got into this exact thing...its lad logic (totally illogical from another half's point of view but makes total sense) Ive got my zed, rsv4 and hyper...ive got my supermoto but thats up for sale to anyone that wants it so i dont really include it....these 3 bikes tick the boxes of the bikes i like - they encompass everything i like about bikes in their style, what they do, how they do it, engine characteristics etc etc...so, eg the zed is a naked....its my favorite naked bike (hey i own it so thats obvious) same with the RSV4 (racer) and the hyper (supermoto) and having those 3 bikes does this... Selling on and changing the style: Going the single bike route i own my zed....i see someone pull up at the local bike shop on say....a new fireblade (lets go for the brand spanker with all the electronics)....i think....im bored of this one...i sell my soul, take all for the zed (ill wager no Salesman would give me more than 5.5k for my pride and joy....i then go and slap down said 5.5k against a brand new 15k (ish) sportster....and im in debt....run the whole scenario again in say 18 months....having the 3 means ive got the sportster sitting in the garage, fresh, clean and to a certain extent, unused...the less i use it, the more an occasion it becomes like last night - its been a while since ive been on it so last nights blast felt like it was new again (5 years of ownership now) Also, i could be sitting at work (like i am now) hop on ebay and start looking at a 1200 Dorosoduro.....for example....ill look for a minute an then, in my head i think....whats the point...ive got the hyper...replay that scenario for the other 3 - it actually stops me buying bikes! it really works! Dont get me wrong i love reading about the new stuff but, i dont feel like i need to, or want to sell any of them. Also, i need to, or want to, take any of them off the road theres no pressure whatsoever to get them back on the road again so any maintenance, repairs etc etc doesnt get rushed as i "need the bike running again..." The final thing is....you (me) ends up pressuring the the other half less (if not ever) which means she gets a rest too....it wins everywhere!!

I love my Z, But i miss my old ER5, which when the insurance paid out got bugger all for, but this leaves me one bike and as i work on most weeks seven days a week, doesn't leave me much time to work on the bike, even for simple cleaning, thats when i miss the ER5 i could ride that to work etc while i have parts stripped off the Zed, so in that respect i envy you have three bikes. As for popping into the local dealer everyweek or so and eyeing the bike candy, where i drool over some bikes, due to the way they are styled then nearly have a heart attack when i see how much there asking, then think of owning said bike which has just cost £14k and riding down the road with it wrapped in bubble wrap for the fear of some twit pulling out on me or hitting a patch of diesel falling off and find its going to cost thousands to fix! I never learn to drive a car only every ridden bikes all my life, so used to the weather even though i hate riding in the rain etc, always ride like an old man then, as back to the new bike idear of losing her on a diesel spill on a bend or roundabout, and then worrying how the hell i get to work and fix the bike at the same time, if fit enought to do it in the first place.

Yep. Again I'm lucky, I've got a little car to use whenever the weather is bad but tend to use it more in the winter (a little Toyota iq) which has been the cheapest car I've ever had to run) had it 6 years now and all its needed is 2 tyres and a set of discs and pads for the front in that time. It's even free to tax and my last insurance premium was 130 quid fully comp for the year. So, it wouldn't even be worth selling it! It just sits on the driveway for when I need it.
I would say try to get another bike if you possibly can!

Haha comfy in an IQ, Noy sure why u find that funny. Perhaps it's because I imagine the full leathers, helmet etc. Had my full bike licence nearly three years now and feel myself die a little inside everytime I'm stuck in traffic in four wheels. Oh the joys.
