Hi Guys,
A couple of the boys have been interested in the above
I`ll share my experience
I have had my ECU flashed by Ivan
My bike is standard except for brawlers
Although I've bought straight through collectors the bike was too loud with Brawlers (so standard down pipes back on)(standard/air filter/air box)
It cost £ 93 to send it to the states (insured for£ 1000)
Ivan flashed it the same day and charged approx. £279 + £ 64 post
Then the Tax man got me !!!!!! £ 104 import duty
Total charge for flash approx. £ 540
The whole turnaround took seven working days
Was it worth it :- yeah
It never had a power band to speak of before just loads of bottom end and linear torque:-Now a very noticeable power band at 7k
The wheelies were very predictable before coming up at about 6k 1st/2nd
It now comes up very quick at 7k (a bit too quick in 1st and 2nd if I am honest) and pulls even more aggressively towards red line making the bike hard to balance on the back wheel if your not feathering the rear brake)
where I would clutch it in third before it now power wheelies off throttle.
To be fair I got what I paid for, it does seem to have unleashed the suffocated eu4 engine.
Downside :- on start up it now races to 3k on choke and hunts until warm up then stabilises (I can live with it I guess)
Perhaps someone can tell me how to turn down the Auto Choke tick over.
I have Brawlers fit :-Yes you can now unplug and remove the exup with out a warning light coming on
Yes you can now remove the co2 exhaust sensor (re-place with bung) without a warning light coming on
The whole process was plug and play (no TPS to adjust)
Biggest problem I have been asked about :- the security bolts on the ECU
It`s a doddle :- Just dremell a straight slot in the security screw head and then undo with a flat sided screw driver (5 mins work tops)
