Hi Guys, sorry if this has been covered before, and sorry for the dumb question, as my bike before the Zed was an ER5, and when i needed to take the take off, remove seat, undo the bolt holding tank to frame, pull off the two fuel pipes to the fueltap, [ found it was easiser to drain the tank first] and pull the tank off, Now i want to check the airfilter and the coolant, but with the fuel pump and sockets etc under the tank little bit of a worry I'm going to screw it up and pull something out i shouldn't. So how easy is it? Zed 1000 A6F, Gen 1-4

Ive not got your model but it cant be harder than the gen 4 - all the panels (including the rear panels) are wrapped around the tank.....but once you get underneath the same stuff is there....breather top and bottom, and the fuel supply...that's about it...

A couple of days ago, my tank was near empty and i whipped the seat off, undid the bolt holding the tank on, and careful pulled it up [ near the fixing bolt] could only get it a few inches, had a look to see where its attached to pipes and socket etc, couldn't see a thing, and as for get one hand underneth, i was trying to wriggle it out from the headstock area, Found a bit of wood and placed this under the tank and had a look at the airfilter screws, got part of the wiring loom running over the top, and i could get to two of the screws but can't get to the others with the tank on, I will leave it for now, but try again in few days, just need to see what comes off and what stays.
