Yep, might be taking it to the tt this year also.... Usually go on the rsv4 but my mate wants to go round the island a bit more this year... Plus I want to find some s1000r's on the mountain...!

Went with the RSV4 again this year to the TT. Its really more built for the job of going over the mountain and break neck speed. I'm starting to learn the unrestricted parts of the TT course more and more...one thing that I have to appreciate is the ability for them not to let off on some parts of the mountain where you cant see round the corners! I'm just starting to get over that now...
I have promised though to my mates that ill take the zed next year...mainly cos everyone else (4 of us next year) will be on non racers....one will be on a café racer'd scrambler, the other on an s1000r and the other one on a Dorso 1200.
I was quite chuffed with myself when we were going over one of the coastal roads to Port Erin, there were about 4 or 5 other bikes in front of us and said coastal road had just been re-laid with brand new shellgrip tarmac (and no speed limit!) and you could see the run well in front of you so I passed all of them at once and one lad (so my mate says who hung back) took off after me on a 1098 but then gave up...heh - I didn't realise he was following me!!
Anyway - I'm still up for Kawasaki day next week if anyone else is...!

Well, weathers looks to be a bit hit or miss.... Dosh wise I'm totally skint, plus I should stay at home and strip the left hand fork on my hyper to replace the seal but I can be at Silverstone in a comfortable 90 mins or so.... So at the moment I think I'll be taking a packed lunch to keep it cheap... Hopefully youll see me.... I'll be on the zed obviously and wearing a full set of held black one piece leathers.... When I'm going long distance I tend to wear my full leathers as I feel a bit safer in them.... And a kreiga messenger bag,....gotta put my packed lunch in something!
If you've got a phone with data (I'll have mine) I'll post back up here...

Just got back... That was fun... Ill put up a load of photos later on... had a good day. Nice in that it wasn't too packed, you could walk around anywhere....not like at the TT where you had to be a "vip" or a "member" or whatever what not....met Peter Hickman, Leon Haslam, James Ellison and Luke Bowler of Bikeworld fame....heres some random pics...
This trip was definitely on a budget as ive just come back from the TT so skint from that...
I liked this nifty grab rail for pillions (James Elison took Luke Bowler round) and Leon Haslam took some other bloke round who was about twice the size of him!!
Let me know if you want more posted up....
