Skinted out at the moment so have stopped work on the zed upgrades.....although (and ill explain later) ive been putting my efforts into this....its taken 18 months to build (12 of that was wiring) and its about 95% there....started with this....
Bought this off my mate - spent most of its life being dumped into swamps/puddles deeper than itself etc etc...
Stripped it down (this is at its worst) to the frame and rebuilt from the ground up back into a supermoto....I think this was its lowest point...
Ive got a ton of pics of the build but these are the kinda, summary ones....now it looks like this....
The clocks are something else, but it has all the mod cons....heated grips, g sensor, built in alarm gps tracker etc etc.....last thing to do before the MOT is change the front master cylinder as the stocker isn't man enough to push the 4 pot brembo on the front...ill be getting this running and then stripping the zed down when the winter gets worse. Theres not one bit of pig iron left on the SM so it should be able to withstand the worst the bad weather can throw at it....

Cheers - its been a lot of work but not in the way you expect....the first day I got It I got it out of my mates transit - took it in the garage and got a set of spanners on it (middle pic is 4 hours after I owned it) he told me it started and I trust him so I didn't even bother doing that. 6 months was spent sending stuff away to be cleaned, blasted, coated, anodised etc etc and also having the engine rebuilt. Once id got everything back together (under one roof) it actually took about 4 hours or so to build. My mate at work has been doing the wiring and he works away, a lot...hence the year to wire the thing up...
Definitely want to do it again as its been lots of fun but, next time to a hyper 1100 - which'll be my third....!
