Hi,
I recently bought a Renntec grab rail for my ZR1000 C9F. I tried to fit it but the holes don't line up with the bolts. I sent it back to Renntec along with some photos showing the misalignment. I got a reply from Renntec saying it fits their jig so it must be OK.
Great customer service ! Anybody else had this problem ? I have googled Renntec grab rail problems and found a few issues on other bikes but no Z1000s.
Cheers

I do not like bad service /attitude from suppliers, dissapointed to hear the response you got from Renntec especially after you sent some pictures as well, you would think they would want to work with you to resolve the issue? Post your pictures here of your issue, it may assist others!?
I hope they gave you a full refund ?

Hi,
Renntec have come back to me but can't find my bike in the Z1000 year descriptions. For future reference it was a Z1000 2007 - 2009 grab rail I bought. My bike is a ZR1000C9F, burnt orange ABS from 2009.
I have included a picture to show the misalignment

Hi,
Due to my lack of choice and my wife being keen for me to fit a grab rail, she is new to biking but loves it, I have asked Renntec just to send it back to me and I will drill it myself. So if you have a 2009 ABS Z1000 be aware that if you buy the Renntec grab rail it won't fit and will need to be modified.

Hi again,
I got the rail back from Renntec today and decided to have a go at fitting it. There is an adapter piece to compensate for the misaligned bolt. Everything went together fine, only took about 30 minutes to fit. Went out a run on some twisties with my wife on pillion and she was happy with it.
