Hi Ferg
The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is effectively a bolt on but adjustable part. If the bike is idling and pulling correctly across the rev range then I'd say leave it alone. If its a little rough down the low end then do this:
Start bike and warm til the fan comes on. Carefully adjust sensor until the bike idles roughly then correct until smooth then the next time you cold start, see how smoothly it idles.
If you have a Power Commander and a laptop with the correct software installed then you can monitor the settings via this and also adjust (There should be settings available to set against).

thank you for the reply , the bike seems fine idles well , i thought i may have to set the TPS as i saw a few you tube clips for suzuki,s and they had to connect to a plug under the seat and adjust the TPS until a line on dash was just in the right place . i have to say if anybody breaks the TPS i would check a breakers as new was a ridiculous £144. that will teach me to fall off !

Frogboy,
Just seen this, mine idles ok but its rough under 3k when riding, are the TPS the tow plastics pieces that are identical on side of throttle bodies? - which one to adjust and which way
Any advise appreciated
Cheers
