Anyone doing any touring this summer?
Would be good to share your experiences, where you are going, where you have been etc.
I am off to France and Spain this year, mainly aiming at the picos de Europa. I have been twice before to this area and love northern Spain.

Lol, thanks for the positive comments redrocket, good to hear you have also covered some miles in the uk. You should try northern Spain but get the ferry, gets you straight to great roads. When I go to morocco later this year I will get my bike transported to Malaga then fly down to pick up the bike, this will save valuable holiday days.

Thanks phipsy, One road not to be missed is the n623 from Santander to Burgos, or did you go this way before heading for Estela? I have been going to Spain for 7 years now for my annual trip with the 'boys', so I a, getting to know the best places to ride.
You will love the picos and they have less traffic and using some common sense you can ready 'use' your bike and enjoy it. If your trip goes ahead next year, then contact me before hand and I will give you a suggested route for your consideration. I took 4 friends this year and they all said they were the best roads they had ridden.
