As the title say's. Picked up the bike up today after getting some new rubber fitted and the mechanic pointed out the small bullet hole in the Rad. Its only weeping out at the moment,,, Any ideas of how to repair or am i best to replace the whole unit? I wasn't sure if i could tr rad leak or something similar. Also anyone recommend a radiator cover for the 2007, Bit late now i know but don't want that happening again. Gonna miss the superbikes at Knockhill too now..... Thanks in advance. PaulG.

I think a new radiator from Kawasaki is about £400, give usedkawasakiparts a ring to see if they have a used one in stock, or you could take it to a radiator repair place and get it re-cored. The 07 Z1000 radiator looks physically the same size as the 03 - 06 Z1000, i wonder if the radiator grill would fit? and why did they not fit one from standard?.

Kawasaki over here are now recoring radiators
Much much cheaper than a new radiator
Also most radiator service companys can braze or weld most minor leaks for around £30 - £40

Looks like a fender extender and a rad cover is essential kit
Even the Ride mag test bike got a burst radiator.....on day 1

Cheers for all the replie's guy's. Local dealer quoted £380 +VAT Took it off the bike last nite so hopefully find someone local who might be able to sort it out for me or re-core it.... I'd never even thought bout checking if it had a standard guard or not, so the moral of this story is save yourself hassle and money by fitting a rad guard from new........ Thanks.
