Hi all, Does anyone know of any DEFINATE unmarked police bikes equipped with Cameras?? I saw one on some TV prog recently, but... In sussex recently a few bikers have said about being followed, even pushed at times, by a silver R1, then as soon as it turned off, they were pulled over by traffic cops, saying they had video evidence of them speeding etc, but refusing to show the footage, and saying that they would be hearing from them re: appearing in court. Then today a girl told me about the same happening to her, but it was definately a silver fireblade?! I know sussex have a 2008 blade stickered up for shows etc, so guess they could have another plain one?! Just wondered if anyone knew anything??

You have the legal right to see any evidence which suggests you were speeding and refusal to show it to you there and then will not stand up in court
However two policeman can give evidence to a court that in there opinion you were speeding without video evidence and this indeed will stand up in court but most likely on a careless driving charge

Can't remember what cop show it was, but they were doing a feature on an unmarked police sports bike, i can't even remember what county it was in or what sort of bike - lol, what they did say was if it was safe and the police rider could catch up with lets say a speeding biker they would pull them over and show them the footage from the onboard camera which was displayed on a portable dvd size unit in a tank bag, on this occasion the police bike called in a traffic car to stop the biker on a roundabout up ahead.
The biker was nearly in tears as it was slowly dawning on him that he was gonn get f**ked as his speed was more than 110mph.

The police do not have to show you video evidence there and then. But it will be played at court if request by you or your solicitor

Coming home from work few weeks back a saw a guy on a bluey/silver bike, not sure if it was a Honda or Bmw as i was busy turning, but did see the guy nod to me, then i thought that was an un-marked Police bike, the Hi-Vis stripes were a bit of a give away! This is in the Merseyside area.

They were doing this, this year at the TT (filming you then peeling off) then the next thing you know a letter is in the post....we went straight to B&Q for a roll of black pvc tape and a Stanley knife.
