OK, am off to Northern Ireland tomorrow mornin for a few days. Was wonderin, what the best thing to do to the suspension, if anything.......Will have pillion, tent, tailpack, tankbag etc. Do I just whack the rear shock preload up to max or just leave everything alone? Any tips appreciated. Slainthe

I'm no expert, but I'd guess that you want to increase the preload to allow the suspension to operate better with the extra load.
Most of the adjustment will be at the rear, but maybe increase the front slightly too.
I wouldn't max it out though - what's the total weight of you, pillion and luggage?

The suspention settings increase as the weight increases, Defo more pre load but load the bike up and measure the static sag as this is probably the most important settin on the bike, once that's right the bike will still handle well with the extra weight. Enjoy your trip m8
