Gave me brother a hand to change sprockets chain on his cbr 125 when he tightened the axle nut there was a crack sound 1st i thought it was just the spacers seating upon inspection the wheel would not turn i removed the rear wheel again checked everything all looked good didn't remove bearings but looked OK refitted tightened axle bolt again this time using torque wrench and wheel was tight backed nut off 1/4 turn and it was OK but concerned its not tight enough i am thinking he has damaged a wheel bearing or a wheel bearing seat any thoughts wheel is in line correctly correct tension on chain no breaks binding does the same with chain sprocket brake removed

it sound like the bearin has had it m8, is there an inner spacer between the 2 bearin faces? or is the bearing just pressed into place? i had a similar problem on my 1st bike (honda MTX 125) change the tyre and crunch went the bearing rear wheel locked solid!

The inner spacers do float till bearing inners compress against it, it's what you tighten against, you know somethings gone wrong Kents, so bite the bullet and get it stripped. The best place to find out what's "gone crack" is on the bench
