Hi lads, has anybody had any problems with the fuel gauge on there 07/08 z? Mine seens to work fine until i open the cap to fill the bike up, i fill up then close the cap switch the ignition on and the gauge starts to flash fuel but all the bars are showing!?! it doesn''t seem to mater if its full or empty...as soon as its opened then closed it will do it, it flashes for about 35/40 miles then stops but the gauge still works fine and is prety accurate.

Mine seems to do it no matter how much fuel i put in, if i open the cap then close it again it starts flashing, i wondered if the tank breather is blocked or something along those lines, just back from a tour of Spain and it was driving me nuts

Check the 3 wire connector block located just above the front sprocket. I know when my mate disconnected this on his the speedo stopped working (Which was why he did it! Tsk tsk!) and the fuel gauge bars and "FUEL" all used to flash at random times! If he switched ignition off and on, it was fine, then would do it few miles later! Might not be the source of your probs, but worth a look! Is the "FI" and led flashing at the same time?? Or just the fuel gauge?? Jon

Hi m8, no its just the fuel gauge, it now seems to only be doing it when i fill up for about 25/40 miles not like before when it did it if you opened the fuel cap so i'l see what my local garage say about it
