I fitted new blue flame evo cans to my z750s last night, but I haven't used any form of sealant for either end of the link pipe. I can't feel any gases escaping from either end so am wondering whether it is necessary at all. Tips from elsewhere on tinterweb suggest I could use a clear silicone sealant (as link pipe is shiny stainless steel) rather than exhaust assembly paste. I was just wondering what the experiences are here - is it recommended to use any and if so what? Using none appears to have the advantage of making it easier to remove can/link in the future e.g. if the "road legal with baffles in" claim doesn't ring true come first MOT time and I need to put the stock can back on! Cheers z P.S. the new cans look and sound spot on - dead chuffed!

Yep, I'll get round to posting a new pic later. I'm getting the belly pan fitted in a few weeks, so will wait until then. Looks great and sounded fantastic last night and I only took out the small bottom baffle. Going to take both out for a trip out tomorrow. The "pop pop pop" of unburnt fuel is a new one for me and sounds awesome. Well chuffed
