The lock on the fuel filler cap on my z1000 is stuck. So far I have bent a key and sprayed wd40 in it to no avail.
Help!

if you remove the screws holding it in ( this is from memmory when i changed mine!) you should be able to take the whole thing off without unlocking it. might free it up or something like that. worth a try before you get it sorted.,.

I've tried taking out the screws but couldn't remove the whole thing. Going to have a go at it with lots of ACF50 tomorrow and see if that sorts it out.

mine did this and it turned out to be a small stone or peice of grit stopping the key from going all the way in. Try an air line into the hole. Or blast some wd into the hole. if this still does'nt shift it then file the very tip of your key down.

Mine did this too after a winter of no use. A few drops of 3in1 and some judicious key wiggling did it though. (had to as I was at a petrol station with no tools and needed fuel!) uh-oh!!!

Gave it another load of wiggling this morning and it worked.

Thanks for all the help and advice.
