Its not a swop I've heard of. Your best bet is to wip off yours and have a measure up and compare. I think the 07 zed has a stroke of 67mm. The 7 was similar in weight to the zed I think, so you should be able to set it up to work well. Let us know how you get on. Matt.

Well i cleaned the 7r shock the other day and started to measure it up against the standard 1, seems the 7r shock is fully adjustable in height thanks to the bottom mount being threaded so the height is exactly the same after some small adjustments 5/10mm , But the bottom mount is about 7mm wider than the z's so do you think a new bush is the way to go or should i let my engineer m8 make up a spacer for each side? Havent looked at the top mount yet so it could be the same story there.

Is the bottom mount not threaded oto the shock? Could you not get your engineer friend to make you a new bottom mount? Or some spacers?

Sure is m8 the threads are about 35/40mm long so making the shock longer or shorter is a breeze. Never thought about making a new mount, kinda thought making a spacer was easier but i could see what he has to say about it. does anybody know the size of the top mount?

You can just buy different bottom forks/eye's to fit whatever size you like with ohlins, if your as 'pooter unfriendly as me then it's easier just to ring Ktech or Harris and order one than try and google them
