I have just spent the last few hours wacking in the 636 B1H forks, radial brakes, hel lines, pazzo levers etc etc. But I was mighty surprised to find how soft these forks are, I have reservations about the way it is so easy to compress the forks.....Should it be this way. If anyone has done this conversion what is there set up? I have tried turning everything up to try and stiffen it a bit but nothing just feels too soft and the forks are bottoming out when i sit on the bike pull the front brake and push it down I cant believe it should feel like this HELP HELP HELP. I need to ride it to work tomorrow and dont trust it as is!

In reply to your PM. Hamish
Just checked my settings, here you go;
Rebound 8 clicks out from fully in(Std ZX636B1H setting)
Compression 8 clicks out from fully in(Std ZX636B1H setting)
Preload 2 Rings showing, 3rd ring level with fork top. The legs have 120mm ish travel, and with these settings and me fully clothed, the travel is 80mm. 40mm sag, which if you read all the stuff on various sites is a tad soft. As you aren't as heavy as me, these might be a starting point.
Hope this helps. Ta, Hamish

Or even before you start....... Been doing mine today and found the wheel spacers were the wrong fecking size. I had ordered a set from a breakers, that to fucking ages to get to me, so when Davec offfered me some I thought Ace. :)Tookhim up on his offer, sent him cash...then again no spacers, which was a bitch cos I cancelled the ones from the breakers. Any way some agro and misscommunication later I got the ones from dave, then the ones from the breakers turned up as well(extra bonus as I already got a refund ). So being the nice man I am a offered a set to Thedzou/Mark(which happened to be the one sfrom Dave) for which him being an equally nice man gave me a set of the Caliper spacers he had made up. ;D Any way the long and short of it (short being the operative word) the spacers I kept where the ones I got from the breaker but were too small In fact they're the same size as the Zed ones(19mm), not 21.5mm So word of advice measure every thing, and check all fluid levels before you start, then torque every thing and check every thing when you have finnished! oh yeah and dont use Rivington barn Ltd Breakers there shit! Doggie Your REET :oNO FOOKIN OIL......BONE FOOKIN DRY MAN??? Other than thatevery thing else is ok new lines on etc. I just used the small ones so I could at least mock up the bike again, and get the calipers and braided lines on. While I heave the light unit off I am gonna put in some better quality bulbs and change the front indicators aswell. Speaking of which Motrax have ripped off Rizomas Zeros, they are a little cheaper @ £40 a pair, but dont look quite as good. www.motrax.co.uk/index.php?page_name=product&sub_page=1&product_id=615
