Collected my forks from maxton monday and fitted them that afternoon. I also got back what was removed from the forks which was pretty much all the internals.
Initial impressions were very good and thats before I had ridden my Z!! Very smoooooooooth compression and that annoying rattle has gone!!
I now have rebound on both legs with springs and oil weight fitted for my weight and riding style and they are a huge improvement.
The front end now inspires confidence and she turns in beautifully and cornering is a dream, im already much further over in corners than I have ever been before.
All in all a price worth paying as its transformed my bike. Im now waiting for my zx10 shock to arrive and will fit that and it should be sorted.
If I could afford it I would definitely go for a Maxton rear shock but at £405 plus vat it will have to wait a while.
There is definitely something to be said for having suspension made to suit your individual riding style, weight etc.
Anyone considering it................. I wouldnt hesitate.................get the conversion done.
