Ive gone through the threads on the forum and just need confirmation before I spend my money.
Im buying a 04/05 zx10 rear shock including the lower shock mount. Do I need anythiong else or is it as simple as remove my shock and lower monut and fit the new zx10 and zx10 shock mount?
Im 13stone (14 and a bit with bike gear on) is the zx10 spring strong enough to take the extra weight of the z and my lardy ass or do i need to put my z spring on the zx10 shock.
Thanks Biker

I bought and fitted a very low mileage 05 rear rear shock by itself. Just needed a new bolt, bush and a dust seal so im guessing if youve got the bottom linkage then it should just bolt straight in, im 12stone nakedish so would be about your weight with kit on, its a very worthwhile mod mate, back handles way better

Biker,
Let us know how you get on. I've got a 2005 zx10r shock on and am thinking of putting a hyperpro front kit on to sort out the forks. I notice you have already sorted your forks so I'd be interested in your experience with both ends changed.
FYI, I've fiddled with the settings on my bike and the best I can get the rear setup for me (about 13 stone ready to ride) is like this:
Rear Shock Preload 18mm thread showing Rebound Damping 1.5 turns out Compression Damping 3 turns out

Thanks for that, Im picking up my forks monday and will be riding them tuesday so will let you know.
The maxton fork conversion is £295 plus vat so bear that in mind when thinking of the hyperpro. Maxton also build the forks to personally suit your weight, riding style etc and initially set the forks for you and suggest you try them for a couple of weeks before playing with settings. Back up support is readily available too by phone from Richard.
