I've got a ZX10R shock but standard front forks and have got the forks adjusted about as well as I can for me (2 lines visible on preload, 0.25 turn out from max on damping) but I'd still like to improve them without spending a fortune.
I found some threads where people had fitted new springs/oil and wondered what specifically people had used and what the improvements were like.
The options I've found seem to be Hyperpro or Ohlins...

Just a quick note, My ZX636 B1H forks cost me £150, the calipers £60, made up spacers, now just need the lines £65.
£275 all in, I have seen suspension experts charge people this for setting up standard kit?
Up to you matey, but ultimately you will probably spend £200 ish to set up the original then go down the 636 route, so save yourself some money and just save up the dos h for a while.

Thanks Biker You can do matey, but i have gone for 636 master cylinder/rizoma reservoir and short pazzo levers as if I am gonna do the job I might as well do everything at the same time. The original Master cylinder and reservoir is all that is required but I am just a bit anal like that!!! Mark

I picked up a zx10-r rear shock with a Hyperpro spring on ebay, I am hoping a set of Hyperpro fork springs and higher grade oil will sort the front out enough, anyone got any suggestions?

I have the hyperpro front springs and oil on mine and it is a big improvement.
The front dives less on the brakes but more importantly for me feel much more connected to the road at all speeds, less bouncy and less harsh off bumps and the bike feels like the front and back are joined together rather than being seperate.
I'm certainly pleased with the improvement.

Had mine converted at Maxton Suspension, I now have forks that work beautifully, springs and oil fitted to suit my riding style and weight, rebound now in both legs. With the zx10r rear shock she handles beautifully...............absolutely solid cornering and I now have confidence in the bike.
