semi or fully-synthetic oil?

Hey guys,
Do you use semi or fully-synthetic oil ?
I've heard that the gear box is a little smoother with fully ?
Is it worth the extra £ ?

I was thinking of using fully synthetic, as I always use Mobil 1 in my car. I asked in my local Kawasaki dealer and they recommended semi-synth, and said that the extra money wouldn't be worth it.
I think that it might be worth using fully synthetic if you wanted to stretch out the intervals between services.
I think I'll stick with semi, at 3000 mile intervals.

I've had this discussion many times, and it always seems to be 50/50 on the outcome, As for me its semi, I use silkolene comp 4 on both my cbr600 (winter hack come trackday bike in summer) and on my Z1000.

I read that fully synth was not good for your clutch will stick with semi i think

I will keep on using semi synthetic in my bikes ,I think it depends on how long you run your bike before you change it & what sort of journeys you make .One thing I did do was to change my oil when the bike was new at 50 miles and I couldn't believe the amount of metal particles that came out ,something I will do to future bikes I am going to change the oil when I bag it up for the winter then again when I bring it back out

I changed my oil earlier this year and put Fully synthetic in! Engine knocked like a so I had to take it out! Runs smooth with semi in it! Anyone want any Fully synthetic oil? Going cheap....used once!

I changed to fully synthetic and the gear change is definately slicker.so worth the extra £ in my oppinion.

I use semi on mine, did on my ZX9 as well and never had any probs
