Hi Guys I have seen posts on other Z1000 forums where people have front disc noise when riding with brakes off. Make sure you have a gap as shown here or you will get disc noise & possibly warp your front discs. Dealers seem to fit the front wheel with no gap for the same reason that most seem to think they never need to use a Torque wrench I hope this is of some use ?. Please ignore this point if you have ZX6R B1/B2/C1H forks fitted as they use no gap. Regards Rick

Nice one Rick, Just got back from work after fitting a new front tyre to the Z and noticed a bit of a noise on the ride back. Looks like I'll be going back in tomorrow on my day off to refit the wheel properly

Yup, did exactly the same myself until (rather embarrassingly) a mate spotted the destructions in the Kawasaki manual as he was watching me attempt to find out why I was getting a scraping noise when coasting to a stop before applying brakes. A cr@p piece of engineering from Mr Kwaka !!! OK, I'm just miffed I didn't spot it first..............
