Yeah i'm sure they are the same between Z750 and Z1000. I think Renthals are the way most people go, i'm certainly considering that option myself. Just to be different theres also the option of clip ons from somewhere such as: www.rizoma.com

I've got renthal 'streetfighter' 7/8 road bars on mine and they are lower than stock (what I wanted).
They also add a bit of bling.... I don't have the images hosted anywhere and so I don;t think I can upload them here....

I'm just after the normal types, not lowered or anything....i'm just attracted to the bright shiny colours ...and the bracing bar. Do the renthals have less flex than the standard bars? and are there ways to fit normal barends to them as ive been considering getting some of those funky looking bar end indicators at some point.

PreludeDragon - you got mail, I sent some photos of my bike with the Renthals on.
I did not notice the stock bars flexing, but the Renthals will be stronger. When I dumped my bike recently, the bar end ground right down (so the bars must have taken a big hit and some weight) and they didn't bend at all.
As far as bar ends - you need to fit bar ends that expand inside the bars (collett fitting??) - and make sure they go onto the 7/8 bars. But, since a lot of streetfighters get fitted with Renthals, and a lot of streetfighters fit stuff like little bar-end indicators, I'd be surprised if that's a problem.

Funny, it's in my 'sent items' list and I've checked the address. I'll send again, but just with one picture this time - maybe it was too big...

;D Thanks for all the info guys, I've used renthal bars on my off road bikes plenty of times and cant praise them enough! They appear to be doing a line of bars for streetfighter types now and I would imagine you could fit bar ends to them with the same fitting kits the off road guys use to fit handguards to their renthals.

i also have renthals inmy Z1000,fitted as soon as the bike was picked up has they were on my z750 to start with. but they were a bit wide so took an inch of each end without thinking and only just about got the brake resevior on. so if you want to make your bars shorter keep that in mind.

Does the Renthal brace fit the stock bars?
