I have a 2014 SX and I'm about to chop the cat out of a spare system, put in a link pipe and V&H Urban Growlers. Has anyone had any issues with running after de-cat? I'll put on a Power Commander if I must but if anyone knows if this is a necessity it'll save finding out the hard way.

hi buddy, if you want to maximise your gains for power and smooth running you will need some dyno time with a power commander or an ecu flash, you wont damage your engine without but it will prob have a few flat spots and be running a bit lean, you will be looking at 150 bhp at least at the crank with a good tune and the your new mods....

The other thing is the weight....an aftermarket set of headers is really light...single exit even more so....definately get it on the dyno with a full system...itll feel like a new bike....
On a straight through system brawlers are insanely loud (i know ive had that setup) even with earbuds in theyre still loud.
