Greetings:
I am hoping someone can shed some light on an intermittent issue.
For some reason, after operating the motorcycle during the summer, it will unexpectedly shut down after it becomes very hot. What immediately follows is a blinking FI light and no turn-over or bike start. It is almost like the cycle is out of petrol but clearly it is not.
The battery is new and after at least 20 minutes of "cool down", it will start again and run normally. I have removed the fuel pump in the past and found some debris in the pump screen not to mention in the filter itself. This was removed with compressed air. Despite the "plumbing", the issue continues and is truly baffling.
Any thoughts please? Thank you kindly

Only thing i can think of here is the thermostat being faulty, boils the coolant then bike over heats, but any one else want to shed some light on this!

my gen 4 has always run up to 90 degrees quick in town, and in stop start the fan is always kicking on and off at 100, i seen 103 a few times, its normal on the z the red light will come on and it will shut down if it starts to overheat.. just make sure the fan kicks in at 100
