Ok guys its might sound dumb to some of you, but i want to fit new brake pads to the rear, but first i want to take off the shotgun pipes on my Zed 1000 A6F, but where the pipes are fixed to the exhaust hanger the last owner has fitted an R&G classic stlye crash bobbin, the rubber part, was attched with large allen bolt, got that off but then how do you get the other off, looks like a cotton reel, i think i can see a bolt head when looking in to the centre, but there's no room for a socket, I was trying to e mail R&G but its easier to e mail the Pope.

Not sure dude. On my 2009 they bolt into the engine through the frame and the inner nuts are encapsulated so no need to get a spanner or socket in.

Thanks, but i should have gone to the parts pictures first, looking at the exhaust one, the large bolt that goes though the bracket threads from the tyre side, so thinking looking into the centre of the bobbin is the end of this bolt, so if it stays dry this morning will have a go of trying to remove it, will keep you informed.

I got a spanner behind the bolt, which secures the exhaust to the footrest hanger, and gripped the other part of the bobbin, and it came undone, once this one done, undid the bolt on the clamp, and pulled exhaust pipe off, replaced the brake pads after cleaning all the crap out and put it all back together, i think from start to finsh only to me 30 -40 mins.
