Starting from Chamonix, we had a rough plan, 2 weeks and a decision to avoid motorways for the whole trip:

Then just South of Carcassonne, we had a little issue:

Headed along the coast, but had to detour to take in the Gorges du Verdon:

Considering we're 2up & in touring kit, I thought this was a respectable effort:

I love the Zed, but she's not great for long days in the saddle and following our pannier fire we'll be getting something with hard luggage. 1050 Sprint is top of the list for next year's trip...

Nice job and hats off to you both for trying, you may want to consider FJR for touring, i can vouch for them, I was considering a sprint also but glad I got the FJR
