Experience of long journeys or touring in Europe?

Hello All,
Are ther any Z1000SX owners who have experienced long journeys or touring round Europe mainly France and Italy as I intend to do this mid year.
All comments or experiences would be most very welcome.

So did you manage to do your road trip, I would like to hear of your thoughts on your trip.
I once took a trip to Bulgaria on a ZX10R, took 3 1/2 days there and 2 1/2 days back. I will post details of this in the coming weeks.

Ive done a few trips abroad now, been to Italy twice Catalunya and East Germany.

If your going to Italy you will love it people are great and the road are pretty good too, on and off the Autostradas.

Tips make sure you make a list of what you want to take, keep your luggage simple and keep all your valuables and paperwork in a bag you can easily take off the bike so you can carry it with you.

In Italy if you go to the right hand side of the tolls there is a bike lane and you can pass through FOC. if you go to a window they will charge you the toll and not tell you about the lane, go on ask me how I know .
