2008 Z750 (as a start)
I lowered the bike 20mm by just swapping the original dog bones. I've since adjusted the preload at the back end as it was a bit soft (by 2 "clicks" to number 6).
(ignoring the fact I could do with shortening the side stand)
Would anyone suggest any other adjustments since it's been lowered?
I've not touched the front end - it's still on its softest/standard setting.
Just unsure whether I need to compensate for the lowering for handling reasons.

I wound the front end all the way in both sides 14mm socket then turned both sides out 5 turns 2 threads showing
then screwed the damper all the way in and then back out 3 clicks works for me
you should possibly also look for a new damper off a z1000 for the rear i swoped mine and was a real noticable difference

I'm not sure I'm going to leave it lowered as it was more for finding my feet whilst I'm so new to it all.
So don't really want to change anything to big.
My riding is quite slow (compared to others I ride with who've been riding for 10+ years) I guess so I'm not really going to fast into corners etc. Would this mean it requires less adjustment?

Have you picked a name to fight under yet ? Perhaps we could have a vote to help if you cant decide ;D Just a thought i'm 5'7 with a 36" inside leg... just tight leathers and i think the Zed has a wide seat getting the bike out of the shed, round the back of the house and out onto the drive is all narrow and 90 degree corners... it's not easy if yuo get the line wrong you'll be in a muck sweat for the next 15 minutes unless you back out and start again

he's 6'4 ... seems to manage ok. he just stands an laughs at me.
the bandit is easy to get out since it was jacked up as the turning is tighter.
