Hi all, Trying to change a side light bulb on my 2007 Z1000, and I've been out there for about 40 minutes undoing screws etc, and still can't get to it properly! Anyone know how??? Or is it really this difficult??? I'm heading off on holiday on it at 5am!!!

Any one got the complete service manual - its in that acording to rider forums ----
Page 585 in the '07-08 manual. Under ELECTRICAL SYSTEM > LIGHTING SYSTEM > HEADLIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
Basically you just take the whole front fairing off and you're then able to replace the bulbs.

Undo the 4 screen screws and remove screen. Undo 2 10mm nuts which hold screen mount bracket on, and remove bracket and washers. Pull fairing/cowl top forwards so it comes off the studs the screen bracket was on. Then lift the whole thing up off the 2 mounting studs underneath, and away from the forks. Unplug side light cable connector and main light cables from headlamps, and its free. The side light just pulls out if you wriggle it. Hope that helps. Matt.
